From the quad garage, after a detailed briefing, we drive via Camacha, the basket weaver town, towards Poiso. This is an on-road tour and we climb the 1800 meter mark with the four-wheeled powerhouse. Driving through fragrant forests on winding roads to the Pico do Arieiro. The experienced tour guide stops at the most beautiful viewpoints. Don't forget your camera! The ATV masters the inclines in a relaxed manner until a large white ball can be seen on the horizon. This is our goal. Once at the top there is the possibility of a short hike to the so-called Miradouros. From there you can see Ponta Sao de Lourenco with good visibility. The valleys between the mountains are at least as impressive. Then it goes down again. A pass road connects Madeira's third highest mountain with Curral das Freiras.
